DeadMason is going, are you? BE THERE!
Richmond, Virginia's Zombie Walk has become an annual tradition attracting young and old undead from all across the east coast. At its heart, the Richmond Zombie Walk is a fundraising parade benefiting various charities. We have costume contests and sometimes stage zombie attacks on poor innocent bystanders (all in the name of fun). So put on your bloody best and join the horror show!

Our friends at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA have something special planned. You all should be good and thawed for this week’s activities.. His message is as follows..
It has been a dream of mine for a long time to have a zombie flash mob right when they blare that loud siren as a test for natural disasters here in Richmond.
And we are going to make it happen on Wednedsay April 7, 2010 at NOON. It will take place at the Compass on the VCU campus. However, we will be meeting before hand at 10 AM.
We will have an actor playing a priest and preaching the end of the world and then we will unleash the zombies on him. We’ll have a film crew there and I have some make-up artists helping out before the event.
Please email me if you’re interested and I’ll give you more details
I have about 20 zombies on board right now. The more the scarier!
aagggghhhhhhhh!
(thank you in zombie)

Don’t Be a Zombie. Walk and Drive Alive!
The Street Smart Campaign, an annual public education, awareness and behavioral change campaign in the Washington, DC, suburban Maryland and northern Virginia area is hosting an event in Georgetown themed “Don’t Be a Zombie. Walk and Drive Alive!” on Thursday, October 29th at 2 p.m to raise awareness about the importance of pedestrian safety, specifically prior to Halloween (a date known for a significantly high number of pedestrian deaths, particularly children) and the change to Standard Time when it gets darker earlier and becomes more difficult for pedestrians and bikers to be seen by drivers.
They are looking for individuals who would be interested in attending the event dressed as zombies and carrying cell phones, blackberrys, and PDAs, to stage a street crossing as distracted pedestrians and illustrate the dangers of not paying attention.
Date: Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00pm
Location: Georgetown: Intersection of K Street NW and Wisconsin Ave. NW under the Whitehurst Freeway
Ask of Zombies: To attend event dressed as zombies with cell phone, blackberry, PDA in hand, and stage a street crossing as distracted pedestrians. Also to be in the background of any remarks and media interviews given. Zombie attire is mandatory, and there is no limit to the number that can attend. The more the merrier!

Yes, the theater actually wants as many undead as possible to have a pre-zombie walk zombie walk in the mall! Come all bloodied up to see the new movie Zombieland and get your rigor mortis worked out by taking laps with us around the mall!
Wait, you may be thinking “Shucks. I’d like to go, but I have a pretty intense shopping agenda that day and I have no time to get ‘dolled up’ for the event!” Fret not! In order to benefit their food drive, just bring in a canned good and the theater will have a make up artist on-site for the donating brain eater on the go.
There is also going to be a contest for “Best Overall Zombie,” “Best themed/original Zombie,” and “Best impression of a Zombie.” The winners will receive 2 movie tickets, and a Zombieland movie pack.
So meet up in the theater lobby at 12.pm. and anyone that participates gets a Zombieland poster.
