Zombie Workshop 2011
Come to the Richmond Fencing Club (3411 1/2 Carlton Street) on Wednesday October 26th at 9pm.
Got questions about obtaining that freshly torn flesh look without the use of a jagged knife? Do you know how to handle your infected wounds in case of a zombie attack? And above all, what will you wear?
At this year’s Zombie Workshop we’ll cover all the gory details.
….Zombie Flesh F/X//
With liquid latex, fake blood, and a little bit of patience you’ll see how simple it is to create amazingly realistic torn bleeding skin anywhere on your body. You do not want to miss this demo!
….Be a Zombie or Just Look Like One//
So do you need to actually need to crawl out of the ground to get that look? We’ll show you some tricks on how to achieve various stages of “deadness” and get those digs nice and grimy without the stank.. hopefully. And if you’ve got some cool tips to share, bring it! We highly encourage tip swapping.
We’ll get you straight before the big date.
That is all for now. My making rhymes is wasting time.
rrgh.

Scares That Care
Joe Ripple, horror film director and retired police officer, is doing something really unique. Using horror-themed benefits, silent auctions, films and other events to help other charitable organizations like “Make-A-Wish”, the Johns Hopkins Children’s Cancer Center, and The Kennedy-Krieger Institute.
They’ve got some great things going on now. Check them out at ScaresThatCare.org
Zombie Film Festival at The Byrd Theater
Our pals at The Byrd Theater are hosting this amazing event on Saturday, October 29th starting at 11:00 am. (Yes, we realize it’s on the same day as our event, but now you have something to do before and after stretching your legs at the Richmond Zombie Walk. )
If you’re familiar with the original “Litter in the Aisles” video they play before every movie at the Byrd, then you’ll love this zombified parody of it. Can you spot your undead Zombie Walk masters DeadMason and GreyMatter? Bravo to the VCU Brandcenter students who created it.
