Richmond Zombie Walk

Richmond, Virginia's Zombie Walk has become an annual tradition attracting young and old undead from all across the east coast. At its heart, the Richmond Zombie Walk is a fundraising parade benefiting various charities. We have costume contests and sometimes stage zombie attacks on poor innocent bystanders (all in the name of fun). So put on your bloody best and join the horror show!

Where are they now?

March 16, 2010 by DeadMason

William HinzmanWaaaay back in the day I saw quite a few films that seriously made me freak hard as a kid. Now, older, I have sometimes wondered about these films; What had happened at the end before I closed my eyes, were there sequels and what happened to the actors? The king of all zombie flicks, Night of The Living Dead, is no exception in my post-traumatic curiosity. I had found bits and pieces around the internet about the actors, but no comprehensive list on all of them. Until now.

Lucky for me FreddyInSpace.com has answered most of my questions. Like did you know that the cemetery zombie, Bill Hinzman, travels the horror convention circuit dressed as his original character? How cool is that?! I gotta find that guy.

Portrait of a Zombie trailer!

So this is a film made by my wife’s, friend’s, brother in-law..or something like that.

I really dig the look of the film and the acting seems pretty solid too (considering it’s just little snippets), but the special effects i’m on the fence.  Regardless,  I’m convinced that it’s gonna be tight as a perm.. We’ll definitely keep you posted with news in the future.

Regal Cinemas Southpark Stadium 16 in Colonial Heights, VA

300 Southpark Circle, Colonial Heights, VA – (800) 326-3264 x382

Yes, the theater actually wants as many undead as possible to have a pre-zombie walk zombie walk in the mall! Come all bloodied up to see the new movie Zombieland and get your rigor mortis worked out by taking laps with us around the mall!

Wait, you may be thinking “Shucks. I’d like to go, but I have a pretty intense shopping agenda that day and I have no time to get ‘dolled up’ for the event!” Fret not! In order to benefit their food drive, just bring in a canned good and the theater will have a make up artist on-site for the donating brain eater on the go.

There is also going to be a contest for “Best Overall Zombie,” “Best themed/original Zombie,” and “Best impression of a Zombie.” The winners will receive 2 movie tickets, and a Zombieland movie pack.

So meet up in the theater lobby at 12.pm. and anyone that participates gets a Zombieland poster.

Calling all available undead!

August 31, 2009 by DeadMason

Want an excuse to be a zombie before the Zombie Walk?

Want to show off your make up skills and can’t wait for the big event?

We need zombies for a couple of promotional events in October.

A couple of movie theaters would like some zombies to promote the premiere of the movie Zombieland.

And we’ve been invited to Monsterfest in Chesapeake on Saturday, October 10.

We can’t promise any compensation, except for good fun and maybe, MAYBE tickets to Zombieland. i can’t promise those, but i asked. we’ll see.

if you’d like to help us out, send us a message at info@richmondzombiewalk.com with “FREELANCE ZOMBIE” in the subject line and we’ll keep you updated as details trickle in.

many thanks to you all,
DeadMason
