Richmond Zombie Walk

Richmond, Virginia's Zombie Walk has become an annual tradition attracting young and old undead from all across the east coast. At its heart, the Richmond Zombie Walk is a fundraising parade benefiting various charities. We have costume contests and sometimes stage zombie attacks on poor innocent bystanders (all in the name of fun). So put on your bloody best and join the horror show!

We now have stickers!

The people at RVA Stickers whipped up these quality 1-color vinyl stickers. Stick ’em anywhere your non-beating heart desires!

If you catch me (DeadMason) around town, ask me for stickers and I’ll consider not feasting upon your brain matter to absorb your tasty courage, or whatever it is we do.

What was I saying? Oh, support your local sticker guys and go to RVAStickers.com!

That’s Not Your Mommy Anymore

September 9, 2011 by DeadMason

BWAAAHAHA! I think it’s hilarious that parents now have this opportunity to scar their young children at an early age. For me it was that damn Thriller video.

Anyhoo, the fine upstanding folks at ThinkGeek present a bed time story with a  bit of bite. *natch. “That’s Not Your Mommy Anymore” could, at the very least, give your kids a heads up on the coming zombie apocalypse. How can you not trust the Zombie Research Society?

Get your copy at ThinkGeek and edumacate your young today. ..and knowing is half the battle!

BTW, there’s so much zombie stuff at ThinkGeek it makes my brain hurt.

2011 is all Abigail. Again.

September 7, 2011 by DeadMason

We are fortunate to again have the super talented Abigail Larson create the official event poster for 2011! (Remember last year’s poster contest winner?)

Like last year we will be offering high quality prints at the event for $5 and soon on shirts at our Zazzle site. All profits will go to the American Cancer Society.

Until then, check out Abigail’s amazing work.

7th Annual Richmond Zombie Walk!

August 22, 2011 by undeadbubblehead

GALLOPING CADAVERS!

WHEN?

The 7th Annual Richmond Zombie Walk will take place on Saturday, October 29th. Pre-walk meet up at Byrd Park (Boat Lake) is at 1pm and the actual walk will begin on the sidewalk in front of Kroger on W. Cary Street in Carytown immediately after.

WHERE?

This year, as always, we will walk Carytown. And that’s it. You will find that it is exhausting to lumber around just after a few blocks. In previous years some of the locations that we walked based on popular suggestions have been “hit or miss”. We lose attendance with each new location, and there is some confusion with our out-of-town undead.

***Reminder***

Plan your rides! This starting point is about 1 mile from the initial meet up spot.

WORKSHOPS:

Do you want to go beyond the basic bloody mess of a freshly turned zombie? Luckily we have some of the goriest zombies who are willing to show you how fun making rotting flesh can be. Make up and costume workshops will be held in October. Upcoming details can be found at RichmondZombieWalk.com.

CONTESTS:

Here are the categories we’ll be judging. Prizes will be awarded at the pre-walk meet up.

– Most Disgusting

– Best Couple/Group Theme

– Best Pop Culture Theme (TV/Movie/Comic/Gaming)

–  Best Zombie Kid

– 2011 Zombie of the Year (Best Overall)

OUR PURPOSE:

Our activities this year will benefit The American Cancer Society. Again,we won’t require anyone to make a donation, but if everyone can pitch in $5 each, it will be much appreciated. Let’s raise even more money this year than we have in the past!

Again, stay tuned for upcoming information and details. If you have any questions, ideas or would like to help out in any way, send us a message at info@richmondzombiewalk.com
